Papa Francisc (născut Jorge Mario Bergoglio, n. 17 decembrie 1936, Flores (d), Buenos Aires, Argentina) este al 266-lea episcop al Romei și papă al Bisericii Catolice, ales la 13 martie 2013 de către conclavul cardinalilor. Din 1998 a fost arhiepiscop de Buenos Aires. Este primul papă neeuropean după papa Grigore al III-lea (731-741). .
